Sharon Carroll – Managing Director

Meet The Team - Chillout Beauty Training

Sharon Carroll is a co-founder of Chill Out Training and has been involved with the spa and beauty industry since 2002. Her early career started in high street banking where she progressed to a senior regional trainer before taking a career break to have children. In 2008 she launched Chill Out Spa which has gone on to claim many coveted awards including Knowsley New Business of the Year 2010 and Thalgo Spa of the Year 2011 and 2018. Sharon continued to add to her teaching and training qualifications with a view to opening a centre of excellence for beauty training and in 2011, her efforts were recognised when she was announced as Women in Business Entrepreneur of the Year and completed the launch of Chill Out Training & Enterprise.

Steve Carroll – Director

Meet The Team - Chillout Beauty TrainingSteve Carroll is a co-founder of the Chill Out Group of companies that includes Chill Out Spa, Chill Out Bistro and Chill Out Training. With a strong banking and finance background, Steve has owned and managed several successful finance-related businesses over the years and still maintains consultative roles within the automotive and finance industries.

 

Helen Gregory – Academy Manager

Qualifications:
BA Hons in Dance
PGCE in Performing Arts specialising in Dance
Teacher of Dance and Performing Arts in Secondary/College for 4 years
Teacher in Key Stage 2 Primary School for 4 years

Helen’s knowledge in education helps to support and guide our tutors, ensure lessons are delivered to a high standard and ensure quality teaching.

Michelle Beswick – Head of Hairdressing Department

NVQ L2 & L3 Hairdressing and Barbering
PGCE Certificate in FE Teaching
L4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice 

With over 35 years industry experience Michelle has a knack of knowing how to turn willing students into hairdressers of the future. Passionate about hairdressing with her own distinctive style of having fun whilst learning.

A self-confessed Bridal Specialist, Michelle has catered for hundreds of brides and wedding guests with many diverse requirements over the years and is able to pass on her expertise and knowledge in a very unique way.

Jess Walker – Freelance Make-Up Artist & Tutor

10 years freelance make-up artist experience

L4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice and Certificate in Education

Jess plays a massive part in the day to day running of make-up courses here at Chill Out Training. Full of ideas and creative flair 

 

Kate Forrest – Make-Up Artist and Tutor

L3 Certificate in Fashion and Photographic Make-Up
L3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement
Certificate in Education & L4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice 

15 years experience in the make-up artistry sector, working within TV for the BBC and Channel 4 as well as fashion and photography. Kate says the best thing about teaching is passing on personal experiences and advice and sharing a room with like-minded people.

 

Fiona Jones – Self-Employed Holistic Therapist & Tutor

Been in beauty/holistic for more than 23 years

16 years teaching experience within FE  and private training colleges
Extensive experience within beauty salons, spas & clinics

Hairdressing for 30 years, Natalie has worked for Regis where she started her teaching career. She’s worked and tutored for Andrew Collinge and worked in various FE colleges for over 15 years.
